About NSAA

The National School Attorneys Association was created in 2023 as part of a grassroots effort of school attorneys across the U.S. to form an independent and self-governed association of colleagues that unites and supports attorneys in legal advocacy on behalf of our nation’s public schools. Membership is open to licensed attorneys who are actively representing public school districts. As a member, you are connected to a nationwide network of school law colleagues who become sources of knowledge, support. Your membership includes the additional benefits below.

School Law News This Week Our newsletter updates members on the past week’s school law developments, including agency activity, federal court decisions, and upcoming NSAA programs.
NSAA Discussion Forum Our discussion forum allows members to share questions, news, wisdom, and the occasional head-scratcher on legal issues of importance to public K-12 school boards.
Monthly Webinars Each month NSAA presents free webinars for members presented by peers and guests on current school law topics.
Member Huddles NSAA convenes conversations for members to discuss quickly-evolving school law issues, ask questions, offer solutions, and share wisdom on how best to support school clients. In House and State Association Counsel members meet monthly.
CLE Conferences NSAA’s Annual Conference, held in-person each fall, convenes school attorneys from across the nation for 11+ hours of CLE credit, legal updates, networking, and discussion. Our Spring Virtual Conference offers 8 hours of CLE credit over multiple days to allow attendees maximum flexibility with their work schedules. Members receive a significant discount on conference registration.
Legal Advocacy NSAA provides a respected and sought-after national voice in courts and agencies on legal issues affecting public education. Members participate in our advocacy efforts through an advisory committee, and through writing and reviewing opportunities.
Committees and Working Groups NSAA members from a wide range of practice settings and geographical locations inform our work by serving on program committees and working groups in areas like Section 504/IDEA and Legal Advocacy.
